A late 16th early 17th Century, rare and beautiful walnut cassone from Tuscany. The front is intricately carved with two fire breathing dragons, beside the central family crest. The family crest, with a design of a quarter moon, indicates that they fought in the crusades. Two paw shaped feet in front, typical of Tuscan Renaissance furniture.
